KAREN GOLDNER – THE FIRST CHOICE FOR THE SECOND DISTRICT

As many readers already know, Karen Goldner has filed to run for City Council against Donald J. Schmidt who has been a councilman for 36 years. It truly is time for some fresh blood.

City Council is composed of nine elected members. Six are members who represent the six districts which make up Fort Wayne. Those members are:

  • Tom Smith, 1st District
  • Don Schmidt, 2nd District
  • Tom Didier, 3rd District
  • Tom Hayhurst, 4th District
  • Tim Pape, 5th District
  • Glynn Hines, 6th District

Three members are council-at-large members. Those members are:

  • John Shoaff
  • John Crawford
  • Sam Talarico

Each of the six district officials represent the district which has elected him. However, the three at-large members represent the citizens of Fort Wayne as a whole.

Currently, the council has three Republicans and three Democrats as members. The at-large members include one Democrat and two Republicans.

Karen’s website is an attractive and easily navigated site with bright colors and a well-laid-out design. Visit the website and learn more about Karen and her goals for the 2nd district and Fort Wayne.
