About Me – Charlotte A. Weybright
I own an older home in the West Central historic district in Fort Wayne, Indiana, directly across from the St. Marys River. I have four grown sons and nine grandchildren - five granddaughters and four grandsons.
I enjoy working on my home and gardening, and I enjoy all types of crafts. I have my own library, now approaching 1,000 books. I am also a vegetarian and have been since 1990.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Indiana University and a Juris Doctorate from the Valparaiso University School of Law.
I enjoy the political scene with all of its passions and faults. Writing is one of my favorite activities, but it seems that I never have as much time as I would like to devote to the task.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog.

Apparently the news that Elkhart County in Indiana’s Third District is doing a tad bit better has prompted Representative Souder to enjoy his holiday recess in a foreign land rather than in his home district. Souder’s last visit to Afghanistan … Continue reading
Mark Souder has decided the best way to deal with the issues of the Third District is, well, to just ignore them for what he mistakenly believes are better pickins. Souder, with his little pea-pickin’ right-wing conservative heart, is dodging … Continue reading
Throwing out his old, worn standard – the Liberals are coming, the Liberals are coming – Souder has already saddled up his trusty steed of conservatism and started to send out letters soliciting donations. Whining that he is a “good” … Continue reading
Hayhurst is in – three words that his supporters have been waiting to hear for months. While many of us knew this informally to be the case for quite some time now, it wasn’t official since Tom had not formally … Continue reading
Recently Representative Mark Souder hopped off the deep end by suggesting that a part of one of the health care reform bills would steer seniors to commit suicide. The section to which he was referring was the advanced directive provision … Continue reading
Several years ago Mark Souder threw up his hands in disgust and told veterans that if they pushed too much they would lose everything in Fort Wayne. Souder offered no support, no encouragement – all recorded on an a DVD … Continue reading
Just when you think he couldn’t lose any more marbles, Souder proves us wrong. In an article written by Sylvia Smith and published in the Journal-Gazette, Souder unabashedly proclaimed, “The health insurance bill being written by congressional Democrats “will probably … Continue reading
In what appears to be a slippage of his cognitive abilities, Mark Souder recently excoriated George Soros – a well-known financial speculator, stock investor, philanthropist, and political activist – for Soros’ involvement in drug liberalization. With the presidential election providing the major entertainment for the past number of months, reporting of many pieces of legislation has been lost in the shuffle. One of those bills is aimed at closing the wage gap that still exists … Continue reading
