About Me – Charlotte A. Weybright
I own an older home in the West Central historic district in Fort Wayne, Indiana, directly across from the St. Marys River. I have four grown sons and nine grandchildren - five granddaughters and four grandsons.
I enjoy working on my home and gardening, and I enjoy all types of crafts. I have my own library, now approaching 1,000 books. I am also a vegetarian and have been since 1990.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Indiana University and a Juris Doctorate from the Valparaiso University School of Law.
I enjoy the political scene with all of its passions and faults. Writing is one of my favorite activities, but it seems that I never have as much time as I would like to devote to the task.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog.

LEVELING THE TRADE PLAYING FIELD
Outsourcing corporate entities would have us believe that changing or modifying free trade agreements to effect a more level playing field for American workers is – gasp – unAmerican. What those corporate powers don’t want you to know is the … Continue reading
DEVELOPING NATIONS WANT THEIR TURN TO TRASH THE ENVIRONMENT
The G-8, meeting this week in Italy, ran into a spot of trouble when the developing nations of the world – primarily China and India – and the already-industrialized nations failed to reach an agreement on specific cuts in heat-trapping … Continue reading
U.S. – COLUMBIA TRADE PROMOTION AGREEMENT – CONGRESS GETS SOME GUTS
Finally, Congress exhibited its long absent intestinal fortitude – guts – to stand up to the administration’s incessant scare tactics surrounding free trade agreements, notably the U.S. – Columbia Trade Promotion Agreement. Congress or should I say the Democrats – … Continue reading
VERA BRADLEY – ANOTHER SNOW JOB IN MARCH
So Vera Bradley has decided to close three Indiana plants and one Ohio plant in order to move production “in-house.” The decision to move production in-house was made, according to a spokewoman, to consolidate manufacturing and cut costs. But … Continue reading
THE NAFTA SUPERHIGHWAY – THE ROAD TO A NORTH AMERICAN UNION
On January 15, 2008, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) formally began a massive public reeducation and public relations effort in an aggressive and expensive attempt to stem the chorus of objections voiced thus far over the Trans Texas Corridor … Continue reading
VERA BRADLEY – THE ULTIMATE OUTSOURCER TO CHINA
A big thank you to TDW for a blurb about Vera Bardley and her outsourcing to China. I was absolutely amazed when I read the post. And, not one to believe things without checking them out, I researched and found … Continue reading
BUSH – NO CONSERVATION NEEDED – JUST ASK SAUDIS TO BOOST OIL PRODUCTION
George W. Bush speaks with a forked tongue; he speaks dishonestly, and he does it so well. His trip to the Middle East, while giving him an opportunity to strut around with the various heads of government, has also given … Continue reading
DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME
I have to admit, I was not happy and still am not happy with Daylight Saving Time. And, just to clarify, it is “Daylight Saving Time” not “Daylight Savings Time.” I was just fine and dandy with never having to … Continue reading
ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST
Another U.S. company is being bought by a foreign entity. Computer maker Acer of Taiwan has announced that it will attempt to acquire Gateway, the third-biggest U.S. personal-computer company, for about $710 million in cash. This deal, the latest investment … Continue reading
